Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What raw materials (coils) can be used with this machine?
A: Our machine is highly versatile and compatible with standard
pharmaceutical-grade cotton, rayon, and synthetic polyester coils.
You can easily switch between these materials based on your
packaging requirements.
Q2: How does the machine measure and cut the cotton coil to ensure
consistency?
A: The machine utilizes a precision motor-driven feeding roller
system combined with a heavy-duty rotary shearing blade. The HMI
touchscreen allows you to set the exact length of the cotton piece,
ranging from 50 mm to 150 mm. The feeding rollers pull the exact
length required, and the blade performs a clean cut before
insertion, ensuring uniform density and length for every bottle.
Q3: What happens if a bottle is missing or tipped over on the
conveyor?
A: The machine features a "No Bottle, No Insert" safety sensor. If
a bottle is missing from the queue, the machine will not feed or
cut any cotton, preventing material waste. If a bottle tips over or
causes a jam down the line, downstream backup sensors will
instantly trigger a pause and alert the operator via the
touchscreen.
Q4: How does the machine insert the cotton without damaging the
tablets or capsules inside?
A: The insertion process is designed to be gentle and precise. A
pneumatic or servo-driven inserter tube/tucker pushes the folded
cotton piece smoothly into the bottle neck. The stroke depth of the
inserting head is fully adjustable, allowing the cotton to rest
lightly on top of the product, creating a secure buffer without
applying damaging downward pressure.
Q5: Is it difficult to change the settings for different bottle
sizes?
A: Not at all. The machine is designed with tool-less changeovers.
Bottle height is adjusted quickly using a handwheel with digital
position indicator. Bottle diameter/width is adjusted via tool-less
guide rail locks. Guide tubes can be swapped out in minutes to
match different bottle neck diameters. A complete changeover
typically takes less than 15 minutes.
Q6: Does this machine require a dedicated operator?
A: No, once set up, the machine operates fully automatically as
part of your packaging line. The operator only needs to load a new
roll of cotton coil when the "Empty Coil" alarm is triggered on the
HMI.
Q7: What is the maximum speed of the machine, and can it keep up
with high-speed counting lines?
A: Our standard single-head cotton inserter can comfortably handle
up to 40 to 70 bottles per minute depending on the insertion length
and bottle size.
