How does the machine prevent cross-contamination or mixing between the two different powder layers?

We utilize two separate, advanced mechanisms to ensure clear separation: Independent Dual Force Feeders and Vacuum Dust Extraction. The powder for each layer has its own isolated hopper and force-feeding system, with specialized suction nozzles positioned right after the first-layer filling station to remove any excess stray powder before the second-layer powder is introduced.

How do you guarantee accurate and consistent weight control for both layers at high speeds?

The machine is equipped with an advanced Automatic Weight Control (AWC) system. It monitors the compression force of each station in real-time. If the force deviates from the preset value (indicating a weight change), the PLC automatically adjusts the filling cam dosing depth. The system also supports individual layer sampling, allowing you to check the weight of the first layer independently during a production run.

What should we do if the two layers tend to separate or delaminate after compression?

Delamination is usually solved by adjusting the pre-compression force. Our machine allows you to independently adjust the pre-compression and main compression for both layers. For bi-layer tablets, the first layer is typically given a light pre-compression (just enough to shape it but keep the surface rough), allowing the second layer to bond perfectly to it during the final main compression.
